The Chief Inspector of the Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI), Noelle Buick highlighted developments in inspection, on 14 September 2015 in Titanic Belfast, in the first of a series of biennial conferences for the education sector.




The purpose of the conference , Inspection and Improvement - A Partnership, was to:

  • Demonstrate even greater transparency in how ETI inspects;
  • Promote greater engagement and collaborative working;
  • Update schools and organisations on recent developments in inspection;
  • Demonstrate the link between inspection and self-evaluation; and 
  • Outline phase specific inspection processes.
