The pilot programme commenced in early September 2013 and ran for 13 weeks. The focus of the evaluation was to assess the key aspects of the pilot module, including the appropriateness of the content, quality of delivery, the impact on the part-time lecturers’ pedagogic practice and the accessibility of the training.
The Department for Employment and Learning commissioned the Education and Training Inspectorate to undertake an evaluation of the pilot Preparation to Teach Module for part-time lecturers working in the further education sector.
