A Report of the Belfast Education and Library Board's Youth Provision in the West Belfast Area

The west Belfast area is the largest of the youth areas in Belfast. According to the figures supplied by the Belfast Education and Library Board there are 51 youth groups registered in west Belfast. The inspection team observed the work of almost all of the full-time youth workers. They held discussions with the acting Assistant Senior Education Officer, the Area Youth Officer, and the Area Youth Officer responsible for child protection and training. Members of the team also held discussions with voluntary and statutory full-time youth workers, representatives from the part-time and registered youth groups, and the Belfast Education and Library Board Education Committee (Youth).
